A Godmother's update

I check this blog every day and no new posts for quite some time now.... so with a little extra time on my hands recently, I decided to add my own post. I hope you don't mind Rahns!

Here is Emma, still a little unsure of where her very proud daddy has brought her (to the Mayo house).

And here is Emma playing with her friends, Allison and Nathan. She was very good at sharing her toys!

She is also getting very good at standing up while holding on to something, but I didn't get a picture of that trick! Come and play anytime, Emma! We all loved seeing you!

Mackinac Island

We took our first family vacation to Mackinac Island to celebrate Kristin's 30th birthday. Here we are taking our cute little peanut out for a walk. Emma is about 5.5 months.

Starting Soft Foods

Emma starts soft foods after reaching out to grab/ eat daddy's food unexpectedly (12/3/07- 7 months). Her satisfaction and cooperation with eating seems to depend on many factors (hunger level, distractions, the weather, the allighment of the stars). Looks like yet another example of her Taurus bull-headed tendencies; she will do it when she is ready. What an "opportunity" to learn patience for us all!

Emma EEG

Emma did so well for her EEG (12/19/07), we were so proud! And fortunately all tests were negative for infant epilepsy! Turns out she most likely just has severe constipation, which have since subsided. Ultimately, a lesson in gratitude.

Exploring Mommy's Mouth

Emma at Neurology Clinic Lobby (12/19/07- 8 months). Now that she has greater fine motor skills, she is starting to explore her surroundings and is particularly interested in sticking her hands in her parents' mouths.
