The Katterjohns & Emma meet Matthew

Mommy is happy to see her baby girl.

The Rahns meet Matthew

Nana & Grandpa Dave are the first visitors at 9:30pm after patiently waiting all day in Ann Arbor. They were able to visit while we were in the Recovery Room post-surgery.

Introducing Matthew Carl Rahn (July 19th)!

He's FINALLY here!

Our first family photo. A little bit different than our photo with Emma!

Matthew Carl Rahn

Matthew's blood sugar was low when he was first born, so the nurses needed to give him some formula.

It's official: 9 lbs, 10 oz. When Kristin heard the nurses yelling out "9-10, 9-10" she assumed that were yelling out the time of birth...oops.

Matthew

An anesthetized Kristin eagerly awaits Matthew’s arrival while undergoing the C-section. Nathan, don’t look at what they’re doing so you won’t pass out!

Nathan is directed to wait at "the bench" while Kristin is prepped for surgery.

An unexpected C-Section after 15 hrs of labor and 2 hrs of pushing!

Words of Wisdom

Gram Sawyer's words of inspiration adorn Matthew's walls.

Final OB/GYN Appt July 15th: Dilated to “maybe about 1.” Dr. O’Leary says “You should probably wrap your mind around the fact that he will be arriving between week 41 and 42” (based on Emma arriving 11 days late and failing the Induction). We prepare for arrival far beyond the July 19th due date.

Selling Nathan's Saturn Ion

Selling the car so we can buy a larger vehicle (van) to be able to travel with our 2 children and 2 dogs. Tell your friends...
As Emma would say "Bye-bye Daddy car."
